Samsa Dilemma – “Wake Up Gregor!!”

Dall’aprile 2016 parte il progetto Samsa Dilemma. Riccardo Pro, coadiuvato dal chitarrista Daniel Sartori e dall’esperto di programming Marco Ober, registra un nuovo album, nel quale suonano il chitarrista experimental-noise Enrico Merlin, al violino Vanessa Cremaschi, al pianoforte il maestro Enrico Dal Fovo.
Nel 2017 si aggiungono Fabrizio Costantino al basso e Fabrizio Keller alla batteria. Uno degli incipit più celebri della letteratura mondiale suggerisce il nome del gruppo: il dilemma di un uomo, Gregor Samsa, che come tale si mette a letto la sera e si sveglia al mattino – dopo sogni travagliati – trasformato in un mostruoso insetto.

Sono ancora un uomo in qualche modo o sono davvero diventato un mostro?

Questo il dilemma che si pone davanti all’umanità intera, mentre scatena i più terribili drammi della storia, materia su cui si riflette troppo poco. Purtroppo non è solo la storia ma anche l’attualità a imporci ancora oggi questo dilemma.
Un album di totale home-recording, il cui titolo indica la volontà di svegliare il Gregor della Metamorfosi prima che sia troppo tardi. Con le buone o con le cattive, come indicano i passaggi umorali in tracklist.
Simbolicamente, certo, perché l’invito al risveglio salvifico ad un nuovo umanesimo è indirizzato all’ascoltatore, chiunque egli sia.

 The Samsa Dilemma project started in April 2016. Riccardo Pro, joined by guitarist Daniel Sartori and programming expert Marco Ober, begins recording a new album, which features experimental-noise guitarist Enrico Merlin, Vanessa Cremaschi on violin, and maestro Enrico Dal Fovo on piano.
In 2017 they are joined by Fabrizio Costantino on bass and Fabrizio Keller on drums. The opening for one of the most famous classics of international literature suggests the name of the band: the dilemma of a man, Gregor Samsa, who goes to bed at night to wake up in the morning – after troubled dreams – transformed into a hideous insect.

Am I still a man in some way or did I became a monster?

This is the dilemma faced by the entire mankind, while unleashing the most terrible tragedies in history; a matter which is often underrated. Sadly, this dilemma is not just based in history: it is something imposed on us by the current times we are living, too.
A full home-recording album, whose title shows the will to wake up Gregor from “The Metamorphosis” before it is too late. By any means necessary, as the mood changes in the tracklist may suggest.
Symbolically, of course, because the wake-up call to salvation and a new humanism is directed to the listener, whoever he or she may be.
