| A distanza di quasi tre anni dall’ultimo album, ecco il nuovo singolo dei Samsa Dilemma. “Kodama”, derivato da un’iscrizione intagliata su una tavola segnaletica fotografata dal leader della formazione, Riccardo Pro, durante una passeggiata in un bosco. apre una fase tutta nuova, in un genere nel quale i Samsa si avventurano con umiltà, sapendo che hanno molto da imparare. È un punto di partenza per uno spiazzante catalogo sonoro di forme, stili e angolazioni che potrebbe vedere la luce nei prossimi mesi. Il brano è nato grazie all’aiuto del co-autore Marco Silvestri, dodicesimo membro di quello che ormai è un collettivo musicale diffuso. Marco e Riccardo avevano infatti già lavorato insieme nei Noroc(k) Bun all’inizio degli anni Zero. I testi sono tratti da quattro poesie di Maria Speranza Porcheddu, dalla raccolta “In una nuvola leggera” mentre Etsuko Makizono ha prestato la sua voce e il suo spirito direttamente dalla foresta sacra di Nishi, Fukuoka, in Giappone, dove si è recata di primo mattino, per registrare la voce. |
Almost three years after their last album, Samsa Dilemma return with a brand new single. The title, “Kodama”, is derived from an inscription carved on a signal board photographed by the leader of the band, Riccardo Pro, during a walk in the woods. “Kodama” opens a whole new phase, in a genre in which the Samsa Dilemma humbly ventures in a new direction, knowing that they have much to learn. The track is a starting point for a new set of sounds, shapes, styles and viewpoints that could see the light of day in the coming months. The song was born with the help of co-author Marco Silvestri, the twelfth member of what is now a scattered musical collective. Actually, Marco and Riccardo have already worked together in Noroc(k) Bun, at the beginning of the noughties. The texts are based on four poems by Maria Speranza Porcheddu, from her collection “In a light cloud” and Etsuko Makizono lent her voice and her spirit directly from the sacred forest of Nishi, Fukuoka, Japan, where she went to record her vocals. |
